This map shows Roman Catholic LGBTI+ ministry on the level of dioceses and regions/countries. More detailed contact information can be seen when you go with your mouse over the symbols.
Included are those dioceses that officially offer welcoming and pastoral care to LGBTI+ people (or at least some of these communities) on their websites.
Not included are those dioceses that officially refer on their websites to branches of Courage International or other organisations that we consider as non-accepting of LGBTI+ people.
Not included are such dioceses in which the bishop has given the task of doing LGBTI+ ministry to some persons, but without making this public on the website of the diocese.
Besides these criteria, the map does not provide information about the level of acceptance or the quality of pastoral care. For better assessment, you may check the information on the website of the diocese or contact local groups of LGBTI+ Christians.
The map is based on information collected by the Roman Catholic Church Working Group of the European Forum of LGBTI+ Christian Groups.
