European Forum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Christian Groups

Nothing can separate us from the love of God!

Romans 8:28-39

The European Forum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Christian Groups is an ecumenical association of LGBT Christian groups in Europe. The European Forum aims to achieve equality and inclusion for LGBT people within and through Christian churches and other religious bodies and multilateral organisations.

With over 40 member groups from more than 20 countries in Europe, the European Forum works for freedom of religion for LGBT people, for human rights, for the dignity of LGBT people and for an affirmative discourse on human sexuality.

After the first stage of the current Synod of the Roman Catholic Church, members of our Roman Catholic Working Group have submitted their statement to the Vatican.
The European Forum of LGBT Christians was very active in the events surrounding WCC as part of the Rainbow Pilgrims of Faith project. You can read a report about our participation here.
Pope Francis has called a Bishops' Synod in the autumn of 2023 to look at what it means to "walk together" as the people of God. Its first stage of preparation began this October with the local (diocesan) phase, which is described as “consultation and participation of the People of God” and ends in April 2022.
