This week in Strasbourg, Political Advocacy Working Group coordinator Wielie Elhorst and Executive Officer Clémence Sauty attended the General Assembly of the Conference of International NGOs at the Council of Europe.

The European Forum proudly holds participatory status in this assembly, alongside many other NGOs dedicated to advancing inclusion and justice across Europe. It was truly inspiring to meet committed people working on vital issues like fighting poverty, supporting refugees, fostering interconvictional dialogue, and promoting gender equality.

This was an opportunity to connect with fellow LGBTI+ people from all over Europe. We discussed how we can ensure our voices are included in conversations surrounding our human rights.

Many Christian voices were heard, addressing issues such as combating discrimination based on religion, the exclusion of the elderly, and the rising cost of living. We are glad to be part of this Christian diversity, as LGBTI+ persons, contributing to a more inclusive Europe for all.
