Forum Sisters ++ 30 years
During our Annual Conference in Bergen, Forum Sisters ++ celebrated their 30 year anniversary. The group started meeting in Oslo in 1996 and have formed a strong community that has had a great impact on the organisation.
——
The Forum Sisters++ pre-conference was a warm and meaningful celebration of 30 years of friendship, feminist theology, shared faith, and activism within the European Forum of LGBTI+ Chrisitan Groups. Through storytelling, songs, prayers, conversations (and homebaked norwegian sweets), participants reflected on the journeys, projects, and relationships that had shaped Forum Sisters++ over the years. Personal memories were shared, creating space for laughter, gratitude, and connection across generations and experiences.

The program also looked forward, with discussions on diverse feminist perspectives, mentoring, safe spaces, publishing work, and future priorities for the network. Presentations and reflections highlighted both the strength of the community and the importance of continuing to support one another and raise marginalized voices. The pre-conference ended with hope, encouragement, and a renewed sense of solidarity and sisterhood for the future.

The Forum Sisters++ pre-conference celebrated 30 years of meaningful work, while also looking ahead and inviting everyone to continue the journey together for many years to come.
