Press Release: New Logo of the European Forum

The European Forum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Christian Groups is very proud to present its new logo. This design is the result of a process of reflection and decision over three years, and ushers in an era of exciting new developments for the organisation.

Reflecting Our Core Values

“We believe that this logo eloquently expresses four dynamics central to the European Forum,” says Quentin Dezetter, the European Forum’s communications coordinator.

These dynamics can be understood as follows:

  • European focus of our work, represented by gold stars and blue background, the symbol not only of the European Union but of the whole continent of Europe (see the flag of the Council of Europe);
  • LGBT with the six colours of the rainbow flag: red for life, orange for health, yellow for light, green for nature, blue for harmony, and violet for spirituality;
  • Christian with the Cross, sign of resurrection and hope;
  • Groups with the circle around the Cross, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matt. 18:20).

An Era of Greater Recognition for the European Forum

For this outstanding work, we want to thank the designer of the new logo, Piotr Chatkowski from Poland. We would also like to express our gratitude to the team that created the previous logo which has served us so well these past decades, and has seen the development of the European Forum into an internationally recognised faith-based human rights NGO. We believe that the new logo, which reflects the reality and the spirit of the 21st century, is yet another step in raising the voice and visibility of LGBT Christians in Europe.
